Why bother with the music industry…  An industry many liken to an infamous ocean linear colliding with the iceberg of the digital age.  An industry “having past it’s day” or “in it’s twilight hours.”

We disagree!

Although this industry is experiencing unprecedented challenges and obstacles, music is at the core of our interaction with the world around us.  From the days of campfires and rhythms kept on sticks and stones, to today’s fast paced, on-demand, digital cacophony of unlimited choice and over abundant stimulation, music conducts our lives in a symphony of emotions, sentiments, memories and moments.  In this role, music becomes immortal in each of our existences.

The problem with the industry is not that music is dead to us…  It is that the product that we associate with music has become outmoded.  For the pat 40 years the world has been served the same product and it is rightly wanting something new.

Imagine driving the same car, flying in the same plane, talking on the same phone, wearing the same clothes or using the same computer as society did 40 years ago…  Let’s be honest, you wouldn’t and if you had to you would be downright pissed off!

Sure, form factors have changed (the digital download is a far evolution from the beloved 8-track or vinyl album), but the product of 10-15 three or so minute tracks packaged together remains the same.  In fact some would argue that it has lost something of it’s soul in the transformation from that pristine 45 to a 4.5mb mp3.

MusicUnion exists to rethink and rebuild the product of music and the relationship we have with it in our lives.  We are developing ways for artists to create products that create music lifestyle and lasting enterprises around their creativity.  We are cultivating music scene & culture for people to aspire to once again.  We are opening our arms and welcoming music into this new era, making a place of honor at our table for it and celebrating it’s intricacies, eccentricities and inspirations.

Join us in creating the opportunities that will enable musicians to inspire us for decades to come.

LIVE YOUR MUSIC!
