Music Union : Live Your Music

I really like LA! The city, the people and everything that offers to you. Last week, on September 13th, I went to check another free concert and happened to be Kelly Clarkson! And to make this evening very good, I invited a very good friend of mine to come along. I couldn’t have asked for better company. I met Daniela in my English class in the mornings and right away we got along.

Dani, as I like to call her, is from Bolivia, South America. I remember telling her about the concert because I received and e-mail from the Hollywood and Highland Center listing the events for the month of September. Immediately, she got excited. Then, the day arrived! We were able to be in the vip area. Such a cool view. While we’re waiting to begin, they let us know that the first two songs would be on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

So, there we were waiting for Kelly, talking and laughing a lot about everything, why we like her songs, and really enjoying that hot evening with ice-cream. As the usual, it was crowded. When she came up in the stage, everybody started screaming! Her first song was “Already Gone”, which she had to repeat it for the TV show. Besides that, it was hit after hit.

I had so much fun! I mean, we had lots of fun, but since I can only speak for myself, I can say that definitely was one of the best concerts I’ve been ever! And I’m pretty sure it’s also because of my friend’s company. Dani is always happy, excited about everything, has a positive attitude. It’s the kind of person you want to be around all the time. We match in everything, making her the perfect choice for these events.

Kelly was amazing from the first to the last second. She is so energetic, enthusiastic in the way she sings that she made everybody dance and jump and sing with her. Clearly, you can notice that she is not into big productions, wasting energy in those things, like Britney’s style. What makes her the best since winning American Idol is that she puts her energy into her performance, her lyrics and her voice. To me, that’s a complete artist.

Anyway, just by closing my eyes, I can go back to that day, where we danced, jumped, sang, took pictures and made videos recording everything that was happening, every movement of her! At one point in the middle of her concert, we looked each other, like we’re saying, “I still can’t believe that Kelly Clarkson is just a few feets away from us”. We were so into the music and all of the rest that we didn’t feel time passing, because we wanted more and more. Unfortunately, Kelly announced it was her last song, finishing with her first single “Since You’ve Been Gone”. It was awesome!! Now, I can totally speak for both of us that we’ve became a much more of a fan than before! She is phenomenal!!
